Free lawn care service agreement
Both need a free account, which includes five documents a month with no card. “Use this template” opens it in GSD with the signature fields already placed; the download gives you the blank document to use however you like.
When you would use it
Lawn and landscaping crews use this to lock in a recurring customer: which property, how often you show up, what is included in a visit and what costs extra, and how much it is. Signed once at the start of the season, it stops the monthly conversation about whether edging was part of the deal.
What the document says
The provider will perform recurring lawn care at the property below on the stated schedule and monthly rate. Service visits include mowing, edging, and clearing of clippings unless otherwise noted.
What you fill in
- Property address e.g. 12 Elm St, Springfield
- Service schedule e.g. Weekly, Fridays
- Monthly rate e.g. $160.00
Who signs
- Customer: signs first
- Provider: signs after the customer
Terms included
Visits missed for weather are rescheduled within the same billing period where practical. The customer keeps the service area accessible and clear of obstacles on service days. Either party may cancel with 30 days’ written notice. The customer signs first; the provider countersigns.
Common questions
Does this work for seasonal contracts?
Yes. Put the term and the visit schedule in the service lines. Most crews send one agreement per season and reuse the same template each year.
Can I add my own cancellation terms?
Save it as your own template first, edit the terms to match how you actually work, then send that version. The blank PDF here is a starting point, not a fixed form.
Sending it for signature
Open the template in GSD, fill in your details, and enter the other party's email. They get a link and sign in their browser on any device (your signer needs no account and nothing to install), and both of you get the completed PDF with an audit trail recording every view and signature, plus a SHA-256 hash so any later change is detectable. Electronic signatures collected this way are intended to be legally binding under the U.S. ESIGN Act and UETA. See security & legal validity for the detail, and pricing for what it costs (the first five documents each month are free).
This template is a starting point, not legal advice. Read the terms and edit them to match how you work, and check that electronic signing suits your document type and jurisdiction before you rely on it.
